Dean's Corner
From the Dean, Congratulations to all graduating students in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences' Class of 2008. I greatly enjoyed speaking with you and your families at the Baccalaureate Reception at the University Center on May 9, as well as being a part of your commencement on May 10 at the BankAtlantic Center. Your focus, determination, and study have led you to this significant accomplishment, and I hope that each of you will cherish your memories of NSU. I also offer heartfelt congratulations to the college's inaugural graduating class of the Master of Arts in Writing Program in the Division of Humanities, which will participate in NSU's 2008 Graduate Commencement Exercise on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. in the BankAtlantic Center. Just as we see students leave following graduation, we welcome new students each summer at orientation. I hope that you will join me in welcoming new students to our community and offer support, assistance, and guidance by answering any questions that they may have about academic programs, campus resources, and student life. Feel free to share your story of why you chose NSU and what opportunities you have found to be engaged in the college. Congratulations again to all of our graduates on your success and best wishes to our continuing students for a memorable, productive summer.
