Dual Admission Interviews

o   Highlight your long-term goals and passion for your future profession. Be ready to discuss your academic interests, motivation for choosing NSU, and commitment to the career path you’ve selected.

Razor’s Edge Leadership Interviews

o   Showcase your ability to inspire others, build community, and lead with purpose. Share specific examples of times you’ve taken initiative, motivated peers, or made a lasting impact through leadership roles.

Razor’s Edge Global Interviews

o   Demonstrate your curiosity for the world around you and your commitment to cross-cultural understanding. Discuss experiences that have expanded your worldview and how you plan to engage and impact your community.

Razor’s Edge Research Interviews

o   Highlight your intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and desire to explore new ideas. Be prepared to discuss any past research, projects, or creative problem-solving experiences that reflect your interest in discovery and innovation.

Interview Etiquette

From punctuality to posture, these etiquette tips will help you show your best self at Shark Preview.

 

  • Be on time — or better yet, a few minutes early.
  • Maintain eye contact with your interviewer to show confidence and engagement.
  • Sit up straight. Good posture shows you’re attentive and professional.
  • For virtual interviews: Test your technology ahead of time, use a clean/neutral background, and mute your microphone when others are speaking.
  • Always thank your interviewer(s) for their time and consideration. Follow up with a brief thank-you email or note within 1–2 days of your interview.

     

Interview Attire

Dress for success — even for virtual interviews. We recommend business professional attire to show that you’re prepared and serious about the opportunity. When in doubt, it’s always better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed.

Clothes should be:

  • Not too large or small, tight or baggy, they should be tailored just right
  • Clean and in good condition
  • Lint and wrinkle-free

Nails and makeup: Natural and conservative

Hair: Well-groomed and neatly trimmed facial hair
