The Dual Admission program in Dentistry at NSU Florida awards a bachelor's degree and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in seven or eight years.

Yes, NSU Florida has multiple medical schools to help you prepare for a career in the medical field. These include the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine, Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine and Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences. NSU also has world-class colleges for dental medicine, medical sciences, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, and psychology.

All students new to NSU Florida (freshmen and transfer students) must register for their first-semester classes with their academic adviser prior to attending orientation. Returning students can learn more about registering for classes through the Undergraduate Academic Advising Center.

Students enrolled at NSU Florida for 12 or more credit hours during fall, winter, or summer semesters are considered full-time students.

Yes, NSU Florida encourages students who are Florida residents to complete a Florida Financial Aid Application and the NSU State Aid Application so they may be eligible for a Bright Futures Scholarship.

NSU Florida offers countless scholarship opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, and first professional students aimed at recognizing the academic achievement and leadership potential of future students.

These include $22K+ tuition scholarships for select Premier Programs, the President's Scholarship that covers up to full tuition, and various other merit awards.

No, NSU Florida does not require the SAT essay or the ACT writing section. There is also no essay requirement when applying to NSU.

Note that undergraduate applicants for the 2025-26 admission cycle may choose to have their application reviewed for admission with or without the submission of SAT or ACT scores. If you have a Florida Prepaid College Plan, NSU will bill your plan for tuition, fees, and costs for on-campus housing based on hours of enrollment. However, the Prepaid College Plans are based on the tuition rates of the tax-assisted Florida public colleges and universities.

Because NSU is a private, not-for-profit institution, you will need to cover the difference between tuition, fees, and on-campus housing costs and your Pre-Paid Plan allocations through other sources.

The number of credits required to receive financial aid vary by award or program. Pell Grants, for example, are awarded to students who are taking 1–12+ financial aid eligible credits, while the Effective Access to Student Education (EASE) grant requires 12 or more financial aid eligible credits.
