NSU will cover your airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation to and from the Fort Lauderdale airport, and all meals during the Counselor Connection Program*.

2026 Counselor Connection Fly-in Registration Terms and Conditions

Due to the popularity of this event, we do not allow counselors to transfer this invitation to other colleagues. Attendance to our program is based on being nominated by a member of NSU Undergraduate Admissions staff, and we appreciate your cooperation.

Please plan to arrive between noon and 4:30 p.m. EST on Sunday. Although we work to ensure your room is available upon your arrival, depending on the hotel's availability, your room may not be available until 3:00 p.m. Program events are scheduled Sunday evening, Monday all day (dinner is not provided by NSU Monday night), and all day Tuesday through the evening, and you may depart any time on Wednesday. Our travel agent will plan for you accordingly.

For those selected and notified to attend the program, once you confirm your attendance, we will provide additional instructions on how to book your airline ticket. Please do not book any ticket until a representative from NSU contacts you. Travel arrangements must be made through our designated travel agency, and Nova Southeastern University will incur transportation expenses to include the following:

roundtrip economy airfare to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
transportation to and from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and your hotel
all transportation during the program

Once airline tickets are booked through our travel agency, any changes made to that ticket and all associated expenses with changing that ticket are the responsibility of the attendee. Anyone who cancels after booking travel will be responsible for reimbursing NSU for all travel expenses accrued up to that point. In addition, we are unable to cover baggage fees.

Flight arrangements are required for counselors traveling more than 300 miles. For those traveling within the state of Florida, NSU will not provide reimbursement for mileage.

NSU will provide single-room hotel accommodations at Sheraton Suites Plantation, 311 N. University Drive, Plantation, FL 33324. Additional charges, such as room service, bar, phone,and recreational facilities will be the responsibility of the attendee.

NSU will provide most meals throughout the program (excluding Monday evening). Sunday evening includes a reception with dinner. Monday will include breakfast and lunch (dinner will not be provided). Tuesday will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Attendance is required at all meals provided by NSU.

South Florida’s tropical climate and surroundings will certainly provide a pleasant atmosphere for your stay. The purpose of our program, however, is to display the educational opportunities available for your students at Nova Southeastern University.

Due to the working nature of Counselor Connection, we do not allow spouses, significant others, or family members to accompany attendees during any portion of the program, including travel and hotel accommodations.
