At NSU, academic excellence, education and professionalism are at the core of who we are and it is a priority for us to develop the next generation of business leaders.
A BUSINESS PROGRAM WITH AN EDGE
Why apply to the Innovation Academy?
NSU gives students the real-world experience and networking connections to thrive in a competitive business market. Get there even faster when you earn your bachelor’s and your M.B.A. in four years through the Huizenga Business Innovation Academy.
What Can You Earn at the Huizenga Business Innovation Academy?
Learn from Faculty with Real-World Experience.
Professors at NSU’s Huizenga College of Business are experienced industry leaders and business owners who are committed to teaching an up-to-date curriculum. They receive input from top corporate executives when designing their curricula—grounding NSU's business programs in the real world.
You won’t just learn from your professors in class. You’ll get hands-on, practical experience from faculty-mentors. And you have plenty of internship opportunities with an NSU corporate partner, entrepreneur or business advisory board member. You’ll also run your own student business during a special summer boot camp. These experiential learning opportunities are your chance to build your resume and your professional network—two key parts of a successful future in business.
I know all my professors by name. Most of the time they don't even take attendance in an official sheet because they know us.

Realize Your Dreams
Start your own business as soon as you graduate.
When you graduate from the Huizenga Business Innovation Academy with your M.B.A., NSU will invest $20,000 in your start-up. That means not only will you have the skills and experience to successfully run a business—you’ll have the funding to make your plans a reality.
To make sure you’re set up for success, you will be required to major in a business discipline for your undergraduate degree if you’re accepted in the academy.

Students in the Huizenga Business Innovation Academy learn the management skill sets they need to succeed in the world of business. They learn these skills from highly qualified faculty—all of the professors from the Entrepreneurship Department have run successful businesses.
