Scholarship information, application deadlines, program requirements—we drill down the fine print and answer your questions on Razor’s Edge, Dual Admission Program, Huizenga Business Innovation Academy, and the Fischler Academy. Sign up for as many sessions as you want to choose the program of your choice.

Razor’s Edge Information Sessions
Get unique experiences beyond the classroom.
Discover the five different programs that give Sharks on-campus leadership experience and a $24,000 scholarship. These four-year residential programs combine coursework with extracurricular activities to help you fully explore what you’re passionate about—whether that’s teaching, performing, researching, leading your community, or leading the world.
The residential aspect of the program brings everyone in the program closer together. The connections built in Razor’s Edge become a strong career network—and help build lifelong friendships.

Prepare for the teaching life.
The Fischler Academy is for students who are motivated to contribute to the field of education, increase learner achievement, and impact educational outcomes. Fischler Academy graduates earn both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in education. The program features guaranteed job placement in one of Florida’s largest school districts.

Here’s how to apply.
After you’ve decided which Premier Programs interest you, applying is as easy as 1-2-3.
You can apply for just about any combination of the following Premier Programs:
- Dual Admission Program
- The Fischler Academy of Education
- Huizenga Business Innovation Academy
- Razor’s Edge Scholars
You may apply to any two Razor’s Edge Scholars Programs. Options include Global, Leadership, Research, Shark Cage, Shark Talent, and Shark Teach.
You may apply for and be admitted into only one Dual Admission program for your first semester. Each program is unique and has its own eligibility requirements.
Don’t forget: Only admitted students can interview for our Premier Programs. Submit the supplemental application before Shark Preview Weekend.

You can use the Shark Select Application or the Common App to apply.
Submit a Supplemental Application
Many of NSU’s Premier Programs include generous scholarships and other benefits. They also require a supplemental application and an interview during Shark Preview Weekend.
Select Your Preferred Weekend
Once you’re accepted to NSU and have submitted the supplemental application, we’ll invite you via email to choose dates for Shark Preview Weekend.
This will not serve as your official Shark Preview Weekend date until you receive an official confirmation email. Please do not schedule any travel accommodations until you receive an email officially confirming your Shark Preview Weekend.
Schedule Travel Accommodations
Along with your confirmation email, NSU will send you a travel questionnaire. Please respond as soon as you have made your travel arrangements. Note that if you’d like to stay on campus during Shark Preview Weekend, you’ll need to request it through the questionnaire.
