Applying to Nova Southeastern University as a Transfer Student

If you have earned college credits at an accredited college or university after graduating high school, Nova Southeastern University considers you a transfer applicant. Students who are dual enrolled in college and high school concurrently are considered freshman applicants.

We make transferring quick and easy so that you can dive right into life at NSU. You’ll find all the steps you need to take to successfully apply to transfer below, along with information about the transfer credit process. Note that a maximum of 90 credit hours from accredited institutions can be counted toward a degree.

We'll help you through the transfer process and if you run into any questions, a dedicated transfer admissions counselor is available to help guide you.

Submit Academic Information

To expedite your admissions decision, submit unofficial transcripts from all previously attended institutions to your admissions counselor. A preliminary review of your application can be made with unofficial transcripts. Official transcripts will be needed upon enrollment at NSU. Transcripts are also required to receive a Transfer Evaluation Report.

To submit official transcripts:

Request that official transcripts from all current and previous schools and/or institutions be sent directly to NSU. For applicants with fewer than 24 college credits, please send official high school transcripts. It is also possible that official test scores may be requested of those with fewer than 24 college credits. Official documents can be mailed to:

Submit Test Scores

Undergraduate applicants for the 2025-26 admission cycle may choose to have their application reviewed for admission with or without the submission of SAT, ACT, or CLT scores.

Test-Optional FAQ

Applicants who choose to have their application reviewed with test scores can self-report SAT, ACT, and/or CLT score(s) on the application for admission. Upon enrollment to NSU, official test scores must be submitted directly from the testing agency using the following information:

  • SAT Code: 5514
  • ACT Code: 6706

NSU superscores both the SAT and ACT, so if you take the exam more than once, you must submit all of your test scores to ensure we have your best and highest composite scores on record. NSU currently considers only the critical reading and math scores for the SAT. For the ACT, NSU does not utilize the optional writing section.
